The Opportunity

We are partnering with a rapidly growing international direct-to-consumer consumer brand to appoint a Managing Director for its Irish operation.

Operating within the premium health, beauty and wellness space, the company has built a highly successful ecommerce-led business with an established international customer base. Following significant growth and 8 figure yearly revenue, the business is now investing further in its Dublin operation and putting the leadership infrastructure in place to support its next phase of international expansion.

This is a broad, highly influential MD position offering the successful candidate the opportunity to build and lead the Dublin operation, while working closely with the founders and international leadership team.

The Role

The Managing Director will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day performance and development of the Irish business, combining commercial leadership, financial oversight, operations and people management.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Establish, develop and lead the company’s Dublin office and Irish operation.
• Build and lead the local team, taking ownership of hiring as the business continues to scale.
• Take responsibility for overall business performance, identifying opportunities to improve growth, profitability and operational efficiency.
• Oversee budgets, costs, major expenditure and financial controls.
• Manage key relationships with banks, accountants, auditors, legal advisers and other external partners.
• Lead negotiations around significant supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Introduce scalable processes and structures while maintaining the pace and entrepreneurial culture of the organisation.
• Work closely with the founders and wider international leadership team on business planning and strategic priorities.
• Provide strong, visible leadership and create a culture of accountability, ownership and high performance.

The Person

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially minded senior leader who enjoys operating in a fast-growth, hands-on environment.

You are likely to have previously operated as a Managing Director, General Manager, COO, Country Manager or senior commercial/operational leader within a consumer-focused organisation.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Senior leadership experience within D2C, ecommerce, skincare, beauty, supplements, health & wellness or consumer brands.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and business performance.
• Experience building, scaling or significantly developing a business, division or country operation.
• Strong people leadership experience and a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Experience managing suppliers, professional advisers and commercial partners.
• The ability to use financial and commercial data to make clear, decisive business decisions.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate effectively without excessive corporate structure.
• A highly autonomous, practical and solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to combine big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• A driven, ambitious and results-oriented personality.
