Commercial Growth Manager

Dublin Permanent DOE

Role Overview

Commercial Growth Manager

The opportunity

A leading professional services firm is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Growth Manager to join its Integrated Marketing and Communications team.

This is a distinctive, internally focused commercial growth role. Rather than owning a traditional client-facing sales portfolio, the successful candidate will work across the firm’s Audit, Tax and Consulting practices to identify opportunities for greater collaboration, cross-selling and account growth.

The role will suit someone who combines strong stakeholder-management skills with a highly analytical and process-driven approach. You will help partners and service-line leaders understand the firm’s existing client relationships, identify unmet needs and connect clients with relevant capabilities from elsewhere in the business.

You will also play an active role in the adoption of a new CRM platform, helping to improve data quality, pipeline visibility and commercial reporting across the firm.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with partners, industry leaders and service-line teams across Audit, Tax and Consulting to identify and progress cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Analyse existing client relationships and service data to identify gaps, untapped needs and potential areas for account growth.
  • Support the development and execution of industry, account and service-line growth plans.
  • Facilitate collaboration between teams that have traditionally operated independently, creating a more joined-up approach to commercial growth.
  • Provide partners with practical commercial support, including tools, frameworks, governance, market insight and structured planning.
  • Participate actively in the implementation of a new CRM system and encourage consistent adoption across departments.
  • Promote strong CRM data quality and help colleagues use the platform effectively.
  • Support account-planning, pipeline-development and revenue-forecasting processes.
  • Produce and interpret dashboards covering pipeline, revenue, utilisation, conversion and win/loss trends.
  • Use commercial data and analysis to help leadership teams prioritise opportunities and make informed decisions.
  • Lead structured relationship-mapping sessions for priority accounts, identifying key stakeholders, influence routes and growth opportunities.
  • Support the coordination of bids and proposals, ensuring a consistent, high-quality approach.
  • Work closely with marketing and other central functions to align campaigns, client activity and wider growth initiatives.
  • Develop effective relationships across the firm and, where relevant, with colleagues in its international network.
  • Encourage clear ownership, reporting and accountability across industry and account groups.

About the team

The team forms part of the firm’s central functions and works closely with colleagues in areas including Marketing, HR and IT.

You will have broad exposure to partners, department heads and senior stakeholders across the organisation. The role is a replacement appointment and will inherit established relationships while also having scope to improve processes and shape how commercial growth is delivered.

The ideal candidate

You will bring a combination of commercial judgement, analytical capability and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

Essential experience and attributes include:

  • Experience working with CRM systems, including adoption, data quality, reporting or implementation activity.
  • A strong analytical and data-focused approach, with the ability to translate information into practical commercial actions.
  • Experience in commercial growth, business development, sales enablement, account management, commercial operations or a related role.
  • A sound understanding of pipeline management, account planning and commercial development processes.
  • The confidence and assertiveness to bring different departments together and challenge siloed ways of working.
  • The ability to influence senior colleagues and command credibility with partners and department leaders.
  • Strong listening skills and the judgement to understand the priorities of different stakeholders.
  • A proactive, organised and technically oriented working style.
  • The ability to develop structure, governance and momentum around commercial initiatives.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with teams throughout the organisation.

Experience within professional services would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates from other complex, partnership-led, B2B or matrix organisations may also be considered.

This role is particularly suited to someone whose strengths lie in CRM, commercial analysis, sales enablement and process improvement, rather than events-led marketing or traditional relationship-based selling.

What success will look like

  • Audit, Tax and Consulting teams collaborate more consistently on shared clients and opportunities.
  • Cross-selling and upselling opportunities are identified, tracked and progressed effectively.
  • Partners have clearer insight into client relationships, pipelines and priority growth opportunities.
  • The new CRM is successfully embedded and becomes a reliable source of client and pipeline information.
  • CRM adoption and data quality improve across the business.
  • Account and industry groups operate with clear governance, ownership, cadence and reporting.
  • Commercial data is used proactively to improve focus, conversion and sustainable revenue growth.
  • Account teams have the tools, insight and processes required to manage effective growth plans.
  • Marketing and commercial activity is better coordinated across the firm.

Why consider this role?

  • A rare opportunity to build a career in strategic, internally focused commercial growth without a traditional client-facing sales remit.
  • Significant exposure to partners and leaders across Audit, Tax and Consulting.
  • The chance to influence collaboration across a growing professional services organisation.
  • Hands-on involvement in a major CRM transition and wider commercial-process improvement.
  • A broad role combining commercial analysis, sales enablement, account planning and stakeholder management.
  • The opportunity to challenge established silos and create a more integrated approach to growth.
