Software Project Manager – Retail/Supply Chain Migration Project

Role Overview

Connexus Recruit is partnering with one of Ireland’s leading retail organisations to appoint an experienced Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of a major software-enabled transformation programme.

Operating across a significant nationwide store network alongside a thriving eCommerce business, our client is continuing to invest in technology, systems and processes to support the next stage of its growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who understands the complexities of a large-scale retail environment and can successfully bridge the gap between technology, operations and the wider business.

The Role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of software-enabled transformation initiatives, working with stakeholders from operational teams through to senior leadership and Steering Group level.

The role will have particular exposure to Forecasting & Replenishment (F&R), Space Planning and Range Planning, so previous experience across these areas within a retail environment would be particularly valuable.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of software-enabled transformation projects.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources and key deliverables.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
• Establish strong programme governance, including RAID management, status reporting and senior-level updates.
• Manage project risks, issues and dependencies, taking ownership of resolution where required.
• Build strong relationships across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
• Operate comfortably at both Steering Group and operational level, translating complex issues into clear actions and decisions.
• Lead the people and change elements of transformation, ensuring strong engagement and adoption across the organisation.
• Challenge, influence and negotiate with stakeholders to keep programmes moving forward.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with:

• A proven track record delivering software-enabled transformation programmes.
• Strong experience within the retail sector.
• Knowledge or experience across Forecasting & Replenishment, Space Planning and/or Range Planning highly advantageous
• Strong project and programme governance capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior level.
• Experience managing complex risks, issues and dependencies.
• Strong change management and people leadership capabilities.
• A strategic mindset combined with a willingness to remain hands-on with delivery.
