The role

Our client is a consumer-facing brand, with websites and mobile apps which help customers find great quality products which can be brought to them to satisfy their needs any time, day or night. They’re a logistics company, directing a fleet of pickers around major cities using a dedicated native app. They’re a partner with large and medium grocery chains and global brands, who see them as a way to unlock access to new customers and thus maximize the revenue of their existing business, and who interact with them in several ways. With that, as they scale they will be developing a home for numerous internal teams, with internally facing tools for customer service, finance, and others, to keep the operation as efficient as possible.

Key outputs

  • Develop and test different marketing ideas across all channels – social, online, web, print to generate user downloads and increase conversion
  • Engage and negotiate partnerships with local community groups, events and mailing lists
  • Measure and optimize key metrics across all campaigns (acquisition cost, lifetime value, etc.)
  • Work closely with our product development and operations teams to launch marketing campaigns
  • Monitor Twitter, Facebook & other relevant sites and actively participate in discussions across communities, social networks & blogs
  • Generate effective and engaging inbound marketing material for SME retailers to generate leads
  • Assist retail and brand partners in developing launch campaigns when joining the platform and provide ongoing marketing support for seasonal and promotional events
  • Host events and parties to bring together the Buymie community and raise awareness about the service

What does the person need to be successful?

  • 2-4 years experience in relevant, consumer-facing marketing roles, ideally app/platform company
  • Proficient at being able to write compelling marketing materials – newsletters, blog posts, flyers, etc.
  • Comfortable selling and negotiating partnerships with external parties
  • Analytical and data driven with an eye for detail and experience using CRM and digital marketing tools for campaign management and tracking
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or Hubspot tools essential
  • Experience working in a startup or a similar fast-paced environment a bonus
  • Bachelors degree
