Connexus Recruit is partnering exclusively with an established retail business to recruit a Category & Space Planning Manager.
This is an opportunity to shape how stores develop and perform. You’ll turn sales data, customer insights and category performance into layouts and investment recommendations that improve the shopping experience and drive profitable growth.
With ownership from initial analysis through implementation, you’ll have the scope to bring fresh thinking, influence commercial decisions and see your ideas delivered in stores.
The opportunity
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, margin and space productivity.
• Create store floor plans, optimising category allocation, adjacencies and customer flow.
• Build and present commercial business cases for remodels and store development.
• Lead projects end to end, coordinating approvals, stakeholders and implementation.
• Work closely with buying teams and merchandising specialists to bring plans to life.
• Manage relevant supplier relationships and support the introduction of new retail concepts.
• Visit stores to assess opportunities and support project delivery.
• Evaluate results after implementation and use those insights to inform future investment.
About you
You’ll bring experience in retail space planning, store planning, format development or category development, with practical responsibility for store layouts.
You’ll be comfortable using data to make commercial decisions, building investment cases and taking projects through to completion. Strong stakeholder management is essential, along with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and introduce ideas that improve store performance.
This role offers meaningful ownership of how a retail business develops its stores, combining analysis, commercial thinking and practical delivery.
Based fully onsite in South Dublin, with flexible start and finish times and travel to stores as required.
