Ireland’s Digital Job Market: September V August

The Connexus Digital Employment census was conducted by comparing the total number of jobs advertised in Ireland across all recruitment job boards, social media and agency sites for marketing, product, creative and design roles.

Following on from August, companies continued to hire and show their resilience as we have seen each of our categories grow by a small percentage when compared to August.

  • Marketing and Digital Marketing: +9%
  • Creative and Design: +3%
  • Product and eCommerce: +5%
  • Data and Analytics: +11%

Increased Activity?

There are several contributing factors as to why the number of roles advertised has increased slightly.

People returning from Holidays in August

In August we received more “Out of Office”, “Annual Leave” and “At the beach” automatic responses than we can count. August is typically the time when people will take some time off and this year was no exception, each member of the team here at Connexus included. As everyone returned from there staycations there has been a noticeable uplift in activity.

Back to School

The kids going back to school also marks the seasonal end of summer which has typically been a time of increased business activity in the past. This year was no exception.

The Market is Resilient

Companies are showing their resilience and continuing to trade despite external factors. This was proven further by the increased number of roles that we were engaged to source for in the month of September.
